LampsThe new technology of stained glass assembling of small pieces of glass invented by Louis Tiffany increased their audience appeal, solidity, high temperatures resistance and allowed to assemble not only flat products but also three dimensional ones, which the craftsman used with great success, creating floor lamps, globes for lamps, wall lamps and chandeliers. In 1895 Tiffany started selling his famous bronze lamps under shades made of stained glass with images of plants and insects. His displayed works have always been expensive and highly competitive thanks to high quality assembling. Since then, customer tastes have changed many times, just as times and fashions, but real Tiffany lamps remained as valued as ever. Today, Tiffany’s lamps mean designer search in all trends and styles: antique, baroque, modern, avant-garde. |
